Refund Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through Mind Byte. It is intended to be read alongside our Terms of Service. Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), including the consumer guarantees that apply to goods and services that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.
1. Domain Registrations and Renewals
Domain registration, renewal, and transfer fees are generally non-refundable once the order has been submitted to the relevant domain registry, as registry fees are incurred immediately and are themselves non-refundable. This applies regardless of whether the domain registration is ultimately successful, except where the registration fails due to an error on our part, in which case we will provide a refund or credit for that domain.
2. Hosting and Email Subscriptions
Hosting and email hosting services are billed in advance for each billing period.
If you cancel a hosting or email service, the cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period that has already been paid for. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused time within a paid billing period, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law.
If a service is suspended or terminated due to non-payment as described in our Terms of Service, no refund is provided for fees already invoiced.
3. Faulty or Misdescribed Services
If a service we provide does not match its description, is not fit for the purpose we represented, or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, or compensation, depending on the circumstances. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate and resolve the issue.
4. Billing Errors
If you believe you have been charged in error — for example, charged twice for the same order, or charged after a valid cancellation — please contact us promptly. We will investigate and, if an error is confirmed, issue a refund or credit note to your account.
5. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase where possible. Refunds may take several business days to appear on your statement, depending on your card issuer or bank.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us via our Contact Page or a Ticket from within your account. Please include the relevant invoice or order number, and the reason for your request. We aim to respond to refund requests within a reasonable timeframe.
