Setting up business email on your phone or computer
Once your Mind Byte email hosting (Solo, Flex, or Max) is active, you can connect your new address to any standard email app using IMAP.
You'll need these details, available in your client portal:
Incoming server (IMAP): provided in your welcome email
Outgoing server (SMTP): provided in your welcome email
Username: your full email address
Password: set during setup
Ports: standard secure ports (SSL/TLS) — listed in your welcome email
Outlook / Apple Mail / Gmail app
Add a new account and choose "Other" or "IMAP" as the account type, then enter the server details above. Use port 993 for incoming (IMAP) and port 465 for outgoing (SMTP), both with SSL/TLS enabled.
Mobile (iPhone/Android)
Go to your phone's Mail or Accounts settings, choose "Add Account" → "Other" → "Add Mail Account", and enter the same details.
If your emails aren't sending or receiving after setup, double-check the incoming/outgoing server names and ports match exactly what's in your welcome email, and that you're using your full email address (not just the username) to log in. Still stuck? Contact Us.
