SSL certificates and the 'not secure' warning
All Mind Byte hosting plans include a free SSL certificate, which is what gives your site the padlock and https:// in the browser address bar.
New sites
SSL is usually applied automatically once your domain is pointed at your hosting and DNS has propagated. This can take a few hours after first connecting your domain.
Seeing a "Not Secure" warning?
This usually means one of the following:
Your domain has only just been connected and the certificate hasn't issued yet — wait a few hours and try again.
Your site has "mixed content" — some resources (images, scripts) are still being loaded over http:// instead of https://. Check your CMS settings for a "Force HTTPS" or "SSL" option.
Your domain's DNS is pointed somewhere other than your Mind Byte hosting, so the certificate can't be issued for it.
If the warning persists for more than 24 hours after connecting your domain, Contact Us and we'll check the certificate status for you.
